BioI suppose I have lead an interesting life. Most mages do. I don't think I've ever heard of a boring Mage - except the Technocracy. Oh, and some Order of Hermes - but they turn boredom into an art.
My parents were new age hippies of the worst kind. All, soya and fluffy bunnies and raping the foliage. They brought me up on a commune (oh yes, THAT gives you a balanced world view). Plus side, I accetped teh occult from a young age. Minus side - I thought it was fluffy and nice (my first meeting with a vampire REALLY dashed that one). I hit the big city and went into a downward spiral, heh, me and Nik together gothing it up and basically destroying myself because the world wasn't as fluffy as it should be.
Then I got into a stupid fight - they were all stupid fights, but the difference was that this bugger had a knife. I don't know who was more surprised when my wounds healed and HIS wounds suddenly appeared out of nowhere, but from then on, everything changed.
So the world isn't fluffy. But it isn't evil and terrible either. And one thing I do know is I can make it better. I'm doing better for myslf now, got some money together (it doesn't count as illegal if you take it from the Syndicate. Honest. Not like I took enough for them to notice), and bought my shop. Believe me, you can change the world from a student coffee shop - or try to anyway.
